At an altitude of 6,144m above sea level, the peak is one of the most technical and challenging peaks to climb in Nepal.

However, in comparison with other peak climbing expeditions in Nepal, it is less arduous. And can be the first peak that you climb with prior experience and proper knowledge of equipment usage. Along with additional training from a well-experienced organizer like Nepal Mountain Trekkers.

Annapurna Circuit Trail

As the trail up to Thorong Peak encompasses the classic routes of one of the best treks in Nepal, or say, one of the best trekking in the world, Annapurna Circuit Trek, this is not going to be just an adrenaline expedition but it would rather be an enthralling and noteworthy experience of your life. Also recognized as the Annapurna Round Trekking, or Round Annapurna, Annapurna Round, and several similar titles, the trekking route is very much adored and appreciated by travel enthusiasts around the world.

Overview of Thorong Peak Climbing

Our journey starts after you enjoy some sightseeing around the culturally rich Kathmandu Valley. Initially, we take a drive from Kathmandu up to Dharapani. And then the trekking starts as we ascend from Dharapani towards Chame. The trail passes through the Annapurna conservation area surrounded by picturesque mountains with a vast glacial plateau in the center.

As we gain altitude, the vegetation around us slowly changes from dense forests to small shrubs; finally, we arrive at a point similar to a Tibetan plateau called Manang. There we can get insights into Tibetan-influenced culture and traditions and also acclimatize for a day.

Thorong La Pass and Muktinath

We will then cross Thorong La Pass at an altitude of 5,416 meters. Thorong La Pass blesses us with stunning views of Annapurna, Kali Gandaki Valley, Dhaulagiri, and other peaks as never been seen before. From Thorong La Pass after we prepare for our climbing, we make it up to the summit of Thorong Peak. Well, it is going to be an achievement of a lifetime to reach that elevation. And from the Thorong Peak Summit, glorious mountain sceneries including the Nilgiri Peak, Tilicho Peak, Dhaulagiri Range, and Annapurna Range along with the beautiful scenery of the Mustang region and beautiful Kali Gandaki Valley make all effort worthwhile.

The trail further leads us to Muktinath as we descend from the summit and continue the journey. Muktinath is the pilgrimage site where we can see a perfect amalgamation of Hinduism and Buddhism. We then visit the Red Monastery at Kagbeni where we can view the golden book of the Dalai Lama. From Kagbeni, we will head toward Jomsom and take a flight back to Pokhara the next morning. We will explore the beautiful sightseeing places in Lake City Pokhara before we come back to Kathmandu and end our Thorong Peak Climbing trip in Nepal.

Best Season and Prior Experience to Climb Thorong Peak

Thorong Peak Climbing is best fitted during the months of Autumn and Spring season. As the weather will be vivid and the trail will offer better sceneries at that time. As well as we shall faceless obstacles that occur due to natural phenomena. The climbers should be aware of the technical challenges during the climb. And they must be well-equipped with the required climbing gear before the expedition.

Hiunchuli Peak Climbing is an adventurous way of summiting Hiunchuli Peak attached to the Annapurna Himalayan Range. And along the way, we also get to experience Ghorepani Poon Hill, Annapurna Base Camp, and Dhampus trekking that truly redefines the natural and cultural aspects of trekking in the Annapurna region. American Peace Corps team first summated the Hiunchuli peak in 1971 via the south face. And the same route has been mostly followed since then. This Peak is not a technical climbing peak but it comes with the risk of avalanches and rockfalls.

Hiunchuli Peak Climbing starts as we drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara followed by the initiation of the trek from Nayapul. Making our way through Ghorepani Poon Hill with mesmerizing sunrise views over the Himalayas, we head towards Annapurna Base Camp via Macchapuchre(Fishtail) base camp and to Hinko cave. Then we set up a high camp and summit Hiunchuli peak on the 12th day of the trip. After summiting the peak at an altitude of 6441 meters, we return to Hinko Cave on the same day. And finally, we trek through beautiful Gurung inhabited villages like Dhampus, Pothana and get back to Kathmandu from Pokhara.

The best time to go for Hiunchuli Peak Climbing would be during the spring months from March to May and during the autumn months of September, October, and November. You must be in good physical fitness before joining this trip. Therefore, join Hiunchuli Peak Climbing with Nepal mountain trekkers for professional arrangements in a safe manner. Contact us now for booking and further information on any of our trips.

Chulu Far East Peak Climbing is a comparatively moderate peak-climbing adventure passing through the tranquil landscapes and traditional cultural heritage dominated by Gurung people in the Annapurna region. The trek will take you by way of the amazing backdrop and let you view distinctive culture. We traverse pine, and rhododendron forests, the terraced meadows, the Gurung community, and the warm nature of Manang inhabitants. It is located high over the Manang Valley offering the wonderful vistas of mountain ranges. Which includes Annapurna II, III, IV, Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri, Gangapurna, Tilicho as well as Manaslu peaks.

Chulu Far East Expedition kicks off from Jagat and goes up to the Marshyangdi valley. And traverse the well-known Throng-La pass (5416M) and then trek down to the Kali Gandaki valley to reach Pokhara. Nepal Mountaineering Association(NMA) classifies the peak as Trekking Peak category B. Chulu Far East Peak Climbing has been compared in character to Island Peak in the Everest region and offers some really interesting climbing without being too technical. Using a high camp, we make our ascent via straightforward snow-slopes to a sensational pinnacle summit.

The Chulu Far East Peak climbing is technically undemanding and all you need to be familiar with is –using equipment like- crampons, ice axe, harnesses, tying knots, and managing climbing ropes. Together with peak climbing, the trip also encompasses the world’s highest Tilicho Lake (4,949m) which holds a special position among the Hindu followers.

Chulu Far East Peak Climbing is one of the best treks offering a distinct sensation. In general, the best time for this trek would be Sep-Oct-Nov and Mar-Apr-May. So join Nepal Mountain Trekkers for this trek to experience great Nepalese natural diversity.

Journey: Pisang Peak Climbing

Overview of Island Peak Climbing

Nepal is a country of friendly people, magnificent scenery, and a variety of cultural traditions. The Island Peak Climbing trip starts with a flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. And trek towards Island Peak along the Khumbu valley heading west through Tengboche which is a very popular spot to catch magnificent views of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse, as well as centuries-old monasteries. From Lukla onwards, we shall follow an ancient route that journeys through tiny villages, across high mountain passes, and remote valleys.

Along the way, we visit Buddhist monasteries and begin to appreciate the unique mountain culture found in the Himalayan foothills. Literally, in the Sherpa language, Imja Tse means “the island in a glacial sea”, which accounts for the mountain’s name. From Island Peak, we can see the spectacular views of the North summit of Mt. Ama Dablam, the wide line of Mt. Nuptse, and Mt. Lhotse, the world’s third-highest peak. The climb to Island Peak starts from the base camp, followed by the high camp and then the summit.
