Detailed Itinerary – Tiji Festival in Upper Mustang

Your journey begins in Kathmandu, where you’ll arrive and take a day to explore iconic cultural landmarks such as Boudhanath and Swayambhunath. Afterward, a scenic flight or drive takes you to Pokhara, offering majestic views of the Annapurna range.

Overview of Gokyo Lakes and Gokyo Ri Trek

Journey: Annapurna Base Camp Trek

We begin our ABC Trek after your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, by going for cultural sightseeing around UNESCO World Heritage Sites and completing the necessary trek preparations.

Initially, we fly to the scenic lake city of Pokhara from where we drive to Nayapul. Then we initiate our trekking activity towards Ulleri passing through beautiful local settlements, landscapes, and Himalayan views.

Ghorepani Poon Hill

Further trekking for around 5 hours takes us to Ghorepani and then an early morning hike the next day to the popular viewpoint of Poon Hill. The golden rays of the rising sun turn the snow-white mountains into a golden color; the magic happens and you will simply love the panoramas of the Himalayas like Mt. Annapurna range, Mt. Initially, we take a drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani via Besisahar on a newly constructed road. Then the Annapurna circuit trekking starts as we ascend from Dharapani toward Chame. Thorong La Pass blesses us with stunning views of Annapurna, Kali Gandaki Valley, Dhaulagiri, and other peaks as never been seen before. Muktinath, Red Monastery Kagbeni and Tatopani Hotspring

The trail leads us to Muktinath, the pilgrimage site where we can see a perfect amalgamation of Hinduism and Buddhism. We then visit the Red Monastery at Kagbeni where we can view the golden book of the Dalai Lama. Then we descend towards Marpha, the apple kingdom famous for local apple products. We will then take a dip at Tatopani, a natural hot spring for relaxation.

Ghorepani Poon Hill and Ghandruk

Towards the end of our Annapurna Circuit Trek, we get the flashback of all Annapurna Himalayan ranges from Poon Hill Viewpoint which is famous for the best sunrise views. We trek down towards the Gurung-inhabited village of Ghandruk and get back into Pokhara. In this way, our trek ends and we drive or fly back to Kathmandu.
