Gorkha Bandipur Adventure tour begins as we drive from Kathmandu to Gorkha. It lies around 150 km away from Kathmandu. Gorkha is the hometown of the founder of the Shah dynasty in Nepal, King Prithivi Narayan Shah. Major attractions around the site are Gorkha durbar(palace), Gorakhkali temple, and Gorkhanath temple. We will visit this historical place for a full day and drive south towards Bandipur for a couple of hours. Bandipur village is popular for cultural activities with plenty of beautiful landscapes and Himalayan sceneries.

Further, we drive towards Pokhara and get ready for early morning sunrise views from the Sarangkot viewpoint. Then we can experience adventurous activities like the newly introduced zip flyer, tower bungee jump, paragliding or simply boating at Phewa lake. In this way, we, return back to Kathmandu and on our way, we visit the popular pilgrimage temple of Manakamana on a cable car. With beautiful adventurous and insightful memories, we finally conclude our tour.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu::

As you enter the Kathmandu valley you already feel the thrill and adventure that may be in store for you in this tour. As you complete your formalities at the immigration, our representative shall greet you and transfer you to the hotel for your stay. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Kathmandu to Gorkha (145km/5-6 hours)::

Today we shall head towards the historical city of Gorkha. In a drive of several hours, we shall move through several rural settlements, lush and green hills, cool waterfalls, and perennial rivers, and interact with the locals en route who are welcoming in nature. Abu Khaireni is a famous hill town that comes in between our journey to Gorkha. After a drive of 4-5 hours, we shall reach our destination. Stay overnight in Gorkha.

Day 3 : Visit Gorkha Historical Palace and Gorkhakali Temple (full day)::

Today we are at the historical city of Gorkha, from where the unification of Nepal, from several small states to a unified nation, was started by King Prithvi Narayan Shah. The highlight of today’s excursion in Gorkha is the historical Gorkha Palace, which also served as a fort for the kingdom. We shall observe the ancient heritages preserved in the palace, try to get an idea of its construction, especially the site chosen for building the palace is interesting. We shall also visit the famous Gorakhkali Temple, a sacred pilgrimage in Gorkha which served traditionally as the guardian of the kingdom and source of divine blessings for the King of Gorkha. After exploring this historical city, we shall return back to the hotel. Stay overnight in Gorkha.

Day 4 : Gorkha to Bandipur (55 km/ 2-3 hours)::

After exploring the ancient place we shall now move ahead to scenic Bandipur. Through the rods built on the hillside, we drive for 2-3 hours before reaching our destination. Bandipur also served as an important trading station between western Tibet, British India, and the west of Nepal. Intermittently we shall witness terraced hills, lowland settlements with farmlands and typical rural settlements perched on the high hills, and the serpentine river flowing far below the road. Day 5 : Visit Bandipur::

As Lonely Planet once wrote, a place of such wonder has remained aloof from tourism development for a long time. Today we shall be exploring this scenic settlement of central Nepal. In the serene, peaceful environment full of solitude, we shall have a gorgeous view of the Himalayas and the fearful Marshyangdi River. A couple of peculiar natural sights such as limestone caves, a tunnel that seems endless, and beautifully arranged houses amidst the cultivation lands. Typical Newari houses with carved windows displaying fine craftsmanship and the Bindyabasini Temple are other attractions of this place. You may also follow the orchid trail and hike to Raniban. Day 6 : Bandipur to Pokhara (80km/3-4 hours)::

From this newly highlighted tourist destination of Bandipur, we shall today head for the most popular destination of Nepal, the lake city of Pokhara. Through a road that explores the unseen side of the hills of western Nepal, we shall drive for 3-4 hours to reach Pokhara. En route we shall drive past the famous Begnas Lake and several lively yet remote and rural settlements. Relax at the hotel in Pokhara and stroll around the famous Lake Side. Stay overnight in Pokhara.

Day 7 : Early in the morning go to Sarangot::

Today we shall explore the surrounding areas of beautiful Pokhara city. Early in the morning, before the day breaks, we shall head for Sarangkot for a sunrise view over the Himalayas. We shall witness the orb of glowing sun lighting up the majestic Annapurna range and painting its golden color on the white snow sheets covering the giant rocks of mountains. In this region famous for adventurous sports, we shall also look for these acts of dare including Zip Flying and Bungee jumping. You may try these sports at your own risk and cost. After that, we shall return to Pokhara city and go boating on the beautiful Fewa Lake. On a very clear weather day, you shall see the reflection of Fishtail Mountain on the waters of this lake. You may explore other destinations if time remains. Stay overnight in Pokhara.

Day 8 : Pokhara to Manakamana Temple for Look the view for Manasalu, Annapurna and terrace field and back to river site resort(110 km/ 3 hour)::

From the beautiful Pokhara city, today we shall be heading to the Manakamana Temple. Dedicated to Goddess Manakamana, who is supposed to grant the wishes, this temple is situated atop a hill and is reached via the first cable car of Nepal. From the vicinity of the temple and the surrounding lively settlement, you must look out for the scenic view of the Himalayas including the Manaslu, Annapurna ranges, and the cascading hills and terraced fields. Stay for few hours and discover the other sites nearby the main temple before descending back to the highway. From there on, we shall drive to the riverside resort after a drive of around 3 hours on a private vehicle. Stay overnight in Manakamana.

Day 9 : Manakamana to Kathmandu (106 km/ 3-4 hours)::

Today we shall be returning back to Kathmandu from the sacred and beautiful Manakamana. Accompanied by the perennial Trishuli River and through several rural settlements, lush and green hills, numerous small and big streams, waterfalls, and roadside markets, we shall reach Kathmandu. After that, you shall be transferred to the hotel for a stay. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 10 : Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing::

After breakfast, we shall have a whole day of sightseeing for the exploration of ancient heritages of this medieval valley listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site List. From Pashupatinath Temple, the masterpiece of Hindu architecture to Swayambhunath, a stupa believed to be existing for more than 2500 years, Kathmandu has a lot of sights to explore. We also have the Kathmandu Durbar Square, a former royal resident of kings in the Mall and Shah era which has historical royal palace, museum, unique temples, and several other monuments. Boudhanath, one of the biggest stupas in the world is another site to be explored. After this enriching and insightful excursion in Kathmandu valley, we shall return back to our hotel. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 11 : Departure Day::

Today your Gorkha Bandipur Adventure Tour comes to an official end. Our representative shall transfer you to the international airport for your flight to your onward destination. You may extend your stay in Nepal through other packages that suit your interest.
