Trip introduction

Rupina La Plus Larke Trek offers a wonderful opportunity to explore off the beaten paths of the Manaslu trekking region. We cross two passes: Rupina La and Larkya La Pass during our exciting adventurous journey. Surrounded by high hills, this trekking gives us the pleasure of authentic Nepali trekking experience; at unspoiled naturally as well as culturally affluent sites. We will be trekking all the way through forested lands, with panoramic views of snow-capped mountains. Especially we get excellent views of Manaslu Himalayan range.

We begin our Rupina la trek as we drive from Kathmandu to Ghampesal. Which will take us to the historical site of the Gorkha district. While trekking along the trails, we discover plenty of cultural exploring opportunities of diversified local indigenous communities. Further, we pass through beautiful forests with equally diversified landscapes and magical views of snow-capped mountains. Then making our way through striking waterfalls, valleys, ridges and crossing the Rupina la pass, and entering Tibetan-influenced villages of Nyak, Ghap, and Lho. Trekking in a similar manner, we also cross another high pass called Larkya La pass and descend towards Tilije to Besisahar for a couple of days and drive back towards the capital city of Kathmandu.

Rupina La Plus Larke Trek is a challenging off-the-beaten-path trek that can be joined at any time of the year. Regarding the fitness level and previous experience, you must be at a good fitness level with passion towards exploring a new place and you can join this trip with Nepal Mountain Trekkers even if you don’t have previous trekking in Nepal experience.
