Sirubari Village Tour takes you around the beautiful and attractive village of Sirubari at Syanja district near Pokhara. The clean atmosphere, friendly people, cultural exploration, and magical views of the Annapurna Himalayan range are the major highlights of the Sirubari village tour.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive at Kathmandu::

After your arrival at the airport, there will be a representative of Nepal Mountain Trekkers to welcome you and explain the program further. You will be transferred to the hotel of your stay by a private vehicle. Give rest to your jet-lagged body in the hotel. You may also roam around in the nearby streets to get acquainted with the environment of Nepal. Get prepared for the trip beginning the next day and enjoy your overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing (Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, Kathmandu durbar square, Swoyambhunath Monkey temple)::

Today you shall be going for a guided exploration of the Kathmandu valley. The attractions of today’s sightseeing shall include the sacred pilgrimage of Pashupatinath Temple located at the bank of the holy Bagmati River among others. The place of utmost importance to the Hindus, this temple hosts myriads of other temples, statues, and other architecture besides the trident-bearing sadhus, some of who pose before the foreigners for money as well. Other important heritages are Swayambhunath Stupa (climbing over the tiring steps you shall reach to a large complex with the main stupa and other whitewashed stupas, the view of Kathmandu valley and prayer flags coloring the area), Boudhanath Stupa with striking eyes of the Buddha, reciting of Buddhist mantras and other cultural symbols. We then head for the architectural excellence in Kathmandu Durbar Square. After exploring the major historical and cultural heritage, we return to the hotel. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3 : Fly/Drive to Pokhara (35 minute flight/ 200 km/ 5-6 hours by private car)::

Return to the hotel for breakfast and then pack your bags as we shall be leaving for scenic Pokhara. We shall gradually enter the cool environment of the valley through changing landscape and environment. Reach to Pokhara after a drive of about 4-5 hours. Afternoon you arrive in Pokhara then check in your hotel and refresh and look around the lakeside. Pokhara is a beautiful valley, with panoramic views of Annapurna, Machhapuchare in the north, and Dhaulagiri in the west, Lamjung Himal, and Manaslu in the east. The town of Pokhara is set on the banks of Phewa Lake. It is smaller and much less hectic than Kathmandu providing the perfect starting point for our trek. Later in the afternoon, you may stroll around the quaint and scenic Lake Side of the beautiful Phewa Lake. Have a pleasant evening walk and return to the hotel. Stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 4 : Pokhara Sightseeing and other activities::

Having pleasant weather, Pokhara is a tourist’s paradise full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples of Buddhists and Hindus along with mountains. Pokhara is a place of natural beauty is known as a center of adventure, has several beautiful lakes, and offers stunning panoramic views of the Himalayas. Phewa Lake is the center of all attractions in Pokhara and the starting and ending point for many of the popular trekking routes in Nepal. You can observe views to the north across the hills and Phewa Lake to the white peaks of the Annapurna and Lamjung ranges. Stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 5 : Drive Pokhara to Sirubari::

Today after having our breakfast we shall take a drive to Sirubari from Pokhara. Sirubari village is a short drive and 3 hrs walk from beautiful lake city Pokhara, the major tourist center for the Annapurna (Machhapuchare Himalaya). After breakfast, we drive to Sirubari via Badkhola, Darau, and stop for lunch en route to Syangja Bazaar before arriving at Sirubari village between 4 to 5 pm. Sirubari’s major appeal lies in the plain but appetizing local Nepali dishes, as well as the homestay with local Nepali families where cultural exchange is inevitable. Sirubari is without a doubt one of the most attractive villages in Nepal. The village is neat and cleans very colorful and warm, while the people are friendly, well educated and are enthusiastic about tourism. Day 6 : Early morning go to Thumro to see sunrise and mountain views and other activities::

Today we wake up early as we plan to head towards Thumro. After having homemade delicious milk tea breakfast we shall depart from our homestay village to Thumro on foot for the magnificent mountain views and sunrise atop from Thumro. The region abounds with flora and fauna, with two hills nearby providing stunning views of Nepal s western Himalayas. In fact, Sirubari is the model for a growing new trend in tourism in Nepal. After viewing the sunrise we shall retrace our steps & return back to Sirubari. Having finished our lunch we shall have a little tour around the village, funeral place, school and get back home later in the evening. We shall have our dinner with the whole family of the house we are staying in. Stay overnight at Sirubari.

Day 7 : Sightseeing at Sirubari Village::

We have a full free day to do some sightseeing activity around Sirubari Village. The hills above Sirubari village offer panoramic views of Mt. Annapurna including Machhapuchare, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Lamjung, and Hiunchuli. One of the finest attractions of the Sirubari village tour is the Gurung culture. The distinct but prosperous culture and tradition of this tribe blended with their rich hospitality make the Sirubari village tour an unforgettable experience. You can enjoy the village life and also can hike through the neighboring villages and observe their daily lifestyles. Each night there will be entertainment provided by the community. In the evening you shall experience the traditional Gurung and Nepali dancing and singing. Tourists also can join the cultural program. You are likely to enjoy cultural shows and presentations made by the Gurung community. Stay overnight at Sirubari.

Day 8 : Sirubari to Pokhara::

After having our breakfast, today we shall take the same hiking route and take a drive back to the mesmerizing city of Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara we shall spend some of our free time by visiting the lakeside in the evening as it’s our last day here at this magical place called Pokhara. Stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 9 : Fly/Drive to Kathmandu::

Waking up early in the morning we shall be able to view the rising sun piercing the white snow-covered mountains. After having breakfast we shall return back to Kathmandu. It will take us about 7 to 8 hours by road and by air it will take us about 25 minutes. After reaching Kathmandu you shall be transferred to your respective hotel. Then later in the evening, you can spend your leisure time visiting the Thamel area. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 10 : Farewell Day::

Our relatively short yet fantastic Sirubari Village Tour experience comes to an end. We hope the trekkers are left with wonderful memories of the trekking trail; some must be so vivid to the trekkers that they might be missing the trail already. A representative of Nepal Mountain Trekkers shall transfer you to the airport three hours prior to the time of the scheduled flight to your native place. We hope that you will be returning to this natural wonderland with great diversity, natural and biotic marvels, and excellent hospitality from the people.
