My Experience with Nepal Mountain Trekkers
This year my friend and I took part in a special journey to Everest Base Camp. Thanks to Nepal Mountain Trekkers we were able to learn and grow through the difficult, peaceful, and happy times with the help of a team who truly cared about their clients. My friend and I are both 18-year-old girls who have never been on a trek before so it was important that we felt safe and secure to enjoy this adventure and make it to base camp. I recommend this company for your experience as they went above and beyond to deliver. Ramesh, the founder of this company is a selfless and very welcoming person who has crafted a team of amazing individuals. Nepal Mountain Trekkers is also an affordable company that caters to your needs. As a person with many allergies, I was walked through the foods I was able to eat and was assured that they would take care of this during my trek. Everest base camp was mentally and physically challenging at times, especially for beginners but once you complete your goal you learn how strong your mind is. You will look back with such a huge sense of pride and accomplishment. I hope you all go out of your comfort zone and make special memories that you can carry around with you!

Beyond the Trek, Upper Mustang
This review is long overdue for an organization that feels more like family than a polished machine of trekking guides and hospitality professionals. While others in my family have reviewed most of the technical aspects of our trip (5 stars across the board), I’ll focus on my personal experience.
Every visit to Nepal has been life-changing for me, but this one proved epically so. Trekking through Upper Mustang with my 67-year-old mother, my brother, and his daughters, aged 18 and 21, is a memory we’ll cherish forever.
Yes, our guide Min was everything a guide should be: professional, organized, safety-focused, timely, patient, and endlessly positive. He went above and beyond, no question, and I would have given him 5 stars without hesitation.
But Min is no ordinary guide. Min is your therapist, your personal trainer, your comic relief. He even tells you those little lies you need to hear when the truth feels impossible to handle (“Just one more little up, little down,” he’ll say with a wink). He walks silently beside you when you’re too winded to speak or your breath is stolen by beauty, and he stays just behind you—never far—when the inevitable tears fall, letting you have your space but always being there for you. Min understands that trekking is a deeply personal journey, and he somehow lets you experience it alone while still celebrating each step with you.
Min also cares deeply for his crew and makes sure they are safe. Get to know him, and you will learn he takes care of his family as well. His respect and knowledge for the places he shares with you is palpable every second you’re with him. After meeting him, I can’t imagine trekking with anyone else—and this is not my first trek.
As for my stay in Kathmandu, I actually extended my trip as soon as I arrived in Nepal and stayed an extra week after the trek. While my family returned home, I stayed with my new family at Hotel Green Horizon. They welcomed me into my favorite room and made sure I was safe, happy, and comfortable. The hot showers, working air conditioning, and quiet, peaceful vibe were exactly what I needed. Ramesh and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make me feel cared for—they’re just wonderful people.
If you’re reading this, stop searching. Make it easy on yourself. Book Min as your guide, let Ramesh handle the details, and get yourself to Nepal. You’ll thank them later—and, like me, you might just be inspired to write your first-ever TripAdvisor review.

30 unforgettable days
I spent 30 unforgettable days with Krishna (tour guide). Together we did the Three Passes Tour and followed the route of the first Everest expeditions to Namche. He really did everything to make the trek as pleasant and comfortable as possible for me. Thank you very much, my friend.
Both the tour planning and the organization were perfect. I can highly recommend Nepal Mountain Trekkers

Excellent service from start to finish
Customer service was outstanding from my very first email to inquiring about various treks. Ramesh was very helpful, taking the time to put together a customized itinerary for us. His flexibility and patience was much appreciated and when communicating from opposite sides of the world his response time was always quick and timely.
The trek itself including our guide Sujan and our porter Srijan were nothing short of amazing. The natural beauty of the Himalayas and AnnaPurna cannot be missed. Sujan was a very competent guide. His calm demeanor and subtle humor made us feel comfortable and at ease. Srijan kept us laughing and always ensured our bags arrived, how he hauled it on those treks I have no idea.
Every experience with Nepal Mountain Trekkers we had was top notch. Highly highly recommend and I will use them when I come back to Nepal.

Unforgettable experience
Aakash Gurung was both professional and transparent regarding the terms and conditions of the Mera Peak climbing: though he made a costly mistake in his WhatsApp message to me, he honoured his word. I salute him for this matter.
His advice for the itinerary, which was adjusted due to ongoing road repairs after heavy rain, was reasonable, thus accepted.
Krishna, guide/porter, is a patient man who ensured that the rescheduled flights were orderly obtained (imagine the number of tourists grew during those few days of flight delay). He fed me with the likely reasons for airport closures during bad weather; we walked through the alternatives and then came to a sensible agreement.
Throughout the trekking, he checked that the rooms were comfortable for me; gave short commentaries along the way and answered questions.
I felt safe and relaxed, travelling solo with Nepal Mountain Trekkers, and in the end I have gained 2 new Nepalese friends.

Annapurna circuit with Thorong peak
We did the Annapurna circuit trek from Chame to Jomsom, with attempting to summit Thorong Peak. Although we did not summit, we had an absolutely amazing trek! Everything was well planned and professionally organised. Our guide TB was amazing, and knowledgeable in everything from trekking, climbing, gear, Nepal culture, fauna, wildlife etc. Our porter Khalu was strong, cheerful and helpful. We would book with them again, and can warmly recommend Nepal Mountain Trekkers to everyone.

Fulfill life dreams-Nepal ABC
#nepalABC
Finally arrived at the ABC Annapurna Base Camp (Annapurna BaseCamp) at an altitude of 4130 meters. Thank you to the guide Ramesh Dhakal for not only professionally judging climate change, but also for reminding everyone to play slowly, slowly... and playfully teasing everyone to play in the snow, leaving happy memories.

Amazing views, Amazing Guide
We went on the Chisapani- Nagarkot hike. Was misty in June but we were blessed on the second day in Nagarkot when “the grey rain-curtain of this world rolled back, and all turned to silver glass, and then we saw it.” A panoramic view of the Himalayas. Suman went above and beyond for us on our trip and felt like we were hiking with an old friend. We’ll be back.

Unforgettable journey into Upper Mustang by horse and mountain bike.
Our group of five set off from Jomson for a 16 day horse and mountain bike trek into Upper Mustang. To call it an extraordinary journey is an understatement! Every day we rode through dramatic landscapes, passing villages and farms, crossing mountain passes, the Himalayas forming a stunning backdrop. After the ride we would check into a traditional tea house, then explore the local monastery before relaxing over a delicious meal. We had a jeep to transport our gear and sometimes the bikes (where necessary). This made everything very easy. Mustang is changing due to the road that has been built, but we still felt part of a timeless place. It was a huge privilege to be there. Our trek was led by the well known Nepali guide TB. It’s hard to put words to what he offered us – insights into places and people, practical advice, kindness, plus lots of fun (and some great curries). Our horseman Lukla accompanied us on foot. He never stopped looking out for our safety and had a close and caring bond with the ponies. The traditional saddles covered with a cushion and layer of carpet were surprisingly comfortable!
After the horse trek we moved to the Annapurna area to visit the rhododendron forests. That was unforgettable as well. Back in Kathmandu we were looked after by Suman in the NMT office – another skilled and caring person We would heartily recommend the company and the team. They accommodated us in Green Horizon Hotel while in Kathmandu and the place became a home away from home.
