Pisang Peak Climbing

“It is said that the greater the adversity, the greater the conquest and likewise greater the glory.”

Pisang Peak Climbing is undoubtedly the most popular Peak among the trekking peaks in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Pisang peak (6,091 m) lies just north of the Manang Valley which the famous Annapurna Circuit passes through.

Journey: Pisang Peak Climbing

Starting in the lowland paddy fields, the trek steadily gains altitude. Passing through oak and pine forests and eventually emerging into a high desert country at Manang (3,597 m.). Firstly, we departure for Jagat from Kathmandu. And start trek en-route common Annapurna Circuit trails and reach Pisang in a few days.

A major intersection of the trail meets at Dharapani after passing through Larkya La Pass (5,140m/16,863ft). To reach the base camp from Pisang village; the path ascends through sparse wood and pasture to a Kharka at (4,380m). Which is considered the best place for setting up the base camp.

Naturally, there are fabulous views to be seen from the summit over the Manang Valley and the Annapurna Range. After a successful summit, we continue our trek to Manang valley and continue further up to Thorung Phedi. It is on the way to the highest pass in the world and offers good scope for exploration.

In addition, one can enjoy paying a visit to the popular holy temple in the region, ‘Muktinath’. Together the pristine nature of special area trekking and its wilderness surroundings make it feel it’s a kind of rare exploration trip of a lifetime. Our trek shall conclude at Jomsom, with a flight back to Pokhara for our departure to Kathmandu the next day.

Best Season

In general, the best preferred months for Pisang Peak Climbing are October & November during the autumn season and April & May during the spring season. So contact Nepal Mountain Trekkers today and join us on this voyage trek to the Pisang Peak of Nepal.
