The Everest view and Sherpa Culture Trek begin after your arrival at the International Airport in Kathmandu. We embark on sightseeing at the UNESCO world heritage sites around the Kathmandu Valley; followed by a pre-trip meeting and preparations. After having our early meal, we board an early morning scenic flight to Lukla airstrip and trek towards Phakding. After crossing suspension bridges multiple times above the Dudh Koshi River, and passing through beautiful Rhododendron forests; we enter Sagarmatha National Park and arrive at the popular Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar at the end of the day. Namche Bazaar is the trading center in the Everest region.

We then follow the trail towards Khumjung, the stone-paved path that has views of potato and other vegetable fields. There is a Khumjung Gompa at top of the town. We can see the skull of a yeti preserved since long ago at that very Gompa. From Khumjung, we ascend towards Thamo and trek down to Thame. From here you can see picturesque views of the snow-capped peaks like Kwangde and Kangpoche. Thame Gompa is located above the village overlooking the valley. Well, in Spring, the celebrations of the Mani Rimdu festival take place there. We spend three nights at Thame. As we will visit the nearby Khure Kharka pasture land as well as Kyaro Gompa in two consecutive days. Leaving Thame behind, we descend to Namche Bazaar, Lukla, and catch a flight back to Kathmandu.

Lower Solukhumbu Trek

Lower Solukhumbu Trek is a wonderful opportunity to witness natural and topographical variation along with cultural insights of local Sherpa inhabitants. Overview of Thorong Peak Climbing

Our journey starts after you enjoy some sightseeing around the culturally rich Kathmandu valley. Initially, we take a drive from Kathmandu all the way up to Dharapani. And then the trekking starts as we ascend from Dharapani towards Chame. The trail passes through the Annapurna conservation area surrounded by picturesque mountains with a vast glacial plateau in the center. Thorong La Pass and Muktinath

We will then cross Thorong La Pass at an altitude of 5,416 meters. Thorong La Pass blesses us with stunning views of Annapurna, Kali Gandaki valley, Dhaulagiri, and other peaks as never seen before. From Thorong La Pass after we prepare for our climbing, we make it up to the summit of Thorong Peak. Well, it is going to be an achievement of a lifetime to reach that elevation. And from the Thorong Peak Summit, glorious mountain sceneries including the Nilgiri peak, Tilicho peak, Dhaulagiri range, Annapurna range along with the beautiful scenery of the Mustang region and beautiful Kali Gandaki valley makes all the effort worthwhile. 

The trail further leads us to Muktinath as we descend from the summit and continue the journey. Muktinath is the pilgrimage site where we can see a perfect amalgamation of Hinduism and Buddhism. We then visit the red monastery at Kagbeni where we can view the golden book of the Dalai Lama. From Kagbeni, we will head toward Jomsom and take a flight back to Pokhara the next morning. We will explore the beautiful sightseeing places in the Lake City Pokhara before we come back to Kathmandu and end our Thorong Peak Climbing trip in Nepal.
